Wheelchair Association Donation
We had the pleasure of hosting the chairman of the Clonmel Wheelchair Society Philip Meaney and guests on the occasion of our residents presenting the society with a fundraising cheque for 2,339 euros. Our fantastic residents crafted, knitted and painted from September to Christmas last and raised 1,839 euros at our in house craft shop and at the Kilcash Christmas Fair.
This was all made possible through the commitment of our wonderful volunteers. The owners of Rathkeevan generously added a further 500 euros in recognition of the wonderful work both of our residents and volunteers and of course by the Wheelchair Society who take us on outings throughout the year. Of course we all enjoyed a chat and cup of tea afterwards. Claire donated a bunch of daffodils from our garden for the upcoming ICA event in Minella Hotel.
